Finishing finding problems in the school

Last week we started projects about finding problems within the school, and recently we found solutions for them. In my group we were working on animal abuse in the school (mainly ducks). We had three main solutions. Our moonshot was; Building a small wall around a specific area for the animals. Our safe bet was creating a restricted area where no one could go apart from the animals and our darling was creating houses for the animals.

Starting to find problems within the school

On the 22 second of august 2017, LC7 started to find problems within the school to improve our learning environment. The main problems we found where; Little kids putting there whole mouth over the water fountain, Animals getting abused and devices being left out. For now we are not trying to solve the problems but we are just finding other little problems that tag on to the main problem.

Elephant Toothpaste

On the 29th of may 2017, A group of people from our class started an immersion on science with Nicole leading it. Our first activity was called elephant toothpaste  witch was a mix of dishwashing liquid, yeast, warm water, food colouring and hydrogen peroxide, we used a bottle to contain it all. The order we did it in was; first putting the dishwashing liquid in the bottle, then getting a cup and mixing the yeast with some warm water, then we added food colouring and hydrogen peroxide. And finally we mixed the two substances with the result being a green flowing foam coming from the bottle not stopping for about 2 minutes.

Immersion with Liv

Today this morning group 5 in immersion rotated teachers again and now this time we are working on what signage's we might like in the school so we can decorate it more. To decide what might look good in a signage group 5 traveled to the hobsonville point high school and looked at quotes, pictures and inspirational sayings. I brought my phone to take pictures and videos and my favorite one was a quote in the library that said "Reach for the sky" which I guess means reach for your dreams.
